Why do you think that Joseph looks out for himself ?
It seems that he is looking out for his Pharaoh.
It is connected in my mind to the earlier discussions about slavery .
Although we tend to think of Josepf as a proud ruler ,, at the end of the day he cannot shake his slave mentality – and is loyal loke a dog to his master.

I am sorry Ben , but I don’t think that the comparison is correct.
Joseph is a political leader -therefore responsible for the public good .
A Boss is usually responsible for the profit or at least the godd service of the custumers
